During the winter, there are several recreational opportunities at Pallaskaltio. The snowy landscape calls for cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and snowmobiling. Ski trails and snowmobile trails start right at the yard!

Try your luck fishing! We offer you lakes, rivers, and streams full of fish. Go hiking in the mountains or take a swim in Lake Särkijärvi!

While hiking, you can enjoy the autumn scenery that surrounds the most amazing mountains in Finland.   There’s also excellent opportunities for hunting and berry picking.

• Lake Särkijärvi is full of fish, and with a fishing permit you can catch trout (Salmo trutta), whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus), and vendace (Coregonus albula) there, but no roaches (Rutilus rutilus)!

• In cooperation with our partners we also offer opportunities for adventure tourism, such as dog or reindeer sledding, horseback riding, fishing, and hiking.  In each cabin there is a folder containing information about the adventure tourism opportunities.
